My name is Xiao junhao, Jerry at grade eleven.
Why did you choose to attend CSW?
At first, I want to get ready for study aboard because schools of abroad education are different from China. Canadian high school is developing a lasting interest in studying for me. At the same time, I also can learn more Canadian’s culture and get knowledge to make efforts to improve self-discipline. Not let practicing instead of my life to be a “ studying machine”.
What do you like about your BC classes at CSW?
Class atmosphere is active and have various teaching method to make studying become bewitching. In class, we will have some projects and assignments to do in groups. That is a good way to learn teamwork and lay the foundation for future. My favorite subject is social because I am interested in other countries’ special culture. For me, interest is the study of maximum power.
What do you find challenging about British Columbia curriculum classes CSW?
The biggest challenge is the language. It is a long way from the beginner to have fluent communication with foreign teachers. Through my study and comprehend in English, it being familiar that the way to study. My score get better and better. I am not good at have the speech in front of public because of my personality. At the first time I have the speech really make me nervous. However, through the practice at ELL classes to make my speech get more unhindered.
What university do you want to attend after graduation? Why?
I want to attend the University of Toronto to study business. I knew that there have many professional professors and a lot of students get success by their teaching. They also get many international awards in different territory. I like to join activates such as the business club in University of Toronto. Also, they have many international academic exchanges every year.
What helpful advice can you offer other offshore Canadian school students?
- Learn new words and read foreign classic masterpieces every day.
- Not only pay attention in class and review everyday, but also concerning about current affairs. For example, BBC News is a good website to know news that happened to broaden knowledge.
- Find a hobby or interest that enthuses you. That will be the maximum energy to become success in the future.
