Luwan High School’s Science Club is taught by Ms. Eun. She is a very humorous and enthusiastic teacher. Three students from grade 11 and all of the students from grade 10 take part in this club.

Now, why did they join this club? According to a student from the club, he said he joined this club because he wants to do more practical activities, not always study from books. Therefore, at the beginning of every club time, the students separate into 4 groups and brainstorm some scientific activities and experiments. Then, Ms. Eun chooses the best topic and prepares a lot of materials for the experiments.

What kinds of activities or experiments have they done? One of them is about gas. They put Mentos (a kind of sweet) and cola together, and then lots of gas will be created in a very short time. After one second, it will create an explosion. The next one is called “paper engineer.” First, each student is given a paper. Then, the group who builds the tallest building wins the game.

These kinds of clubs are very beneficial to the students. Nowadays, so many students lack creative ability, they just know how to solve difficult questions. Therefore, they can be called a good student, but they cannot be considered as comprehensive students. However, our school gives us this chance to practice and improve these kinds of skills like Science Club.

In conclusion, our Science Club is about learning from doing, not from reading. So, if you want to do some scientific activities, join this club. You will thank yourself later.
