October 31st was Halloween. We held a lot of activities in the school like room decorations, battle of the balloons, mummy wrapping, etc. Firstly, every house team was responsible to decorate a classroom. Every house team started the decoration one week earlier and we ended up with a wonderfully scary 6th floor for our Halloween activities. The red team decorated their homeroom as a scary restaurant with blood and broken fingers on the desk which also matched Mr. Misquith’s mummy wrapping activity. The green team also created a scary classroom for Mr. Milne’s homeroom, they used a lot of broken body structures and hung them on the ceiling of the classroom.
Another activity was organized by Mr. Milne, called the “Battle of the Balloons. Basically, every student had a balloon wrapped on their leg they and tried to step on another student’s balloon. Each round had two house teams competing against each other and the most powerful player in each house team went into the finals. The first battle was very severe. After 1 min Jomcy, Lawson and William were out. However, the next several battles were like the war of attrition, and Jimmy became the prey. So the game came to the final 2 Joe vs Chris. These two boys attacked each other really cautiously, but after 5 minutes there was still no victor. So Mr. Milne decided to add 1 more player for each team. Surprisingly the orange tiger decided to add a girl (Yiran) and the red team added William. But finally Yiran became the superstar of this game as she stepped on Joe’s balloon. “Boom”! Finally, the orange won this long battle.
