Sharon Liao is one of the top students in Grade 11 in Luwan Senior High School’s BC Program. Her efforts have led her to excellent achievements.

Sharon comes from Taipei, Taiwan. “Taipei is the political, economic, educational, and cultural center of Taiwan, and one of the major hubs of the Chinese-speaking world.”

As her classmate, I am interested in her school life. She came to this school because she thinks the school fits her and she needs to study abroad. Her favorite subject is geography because she is interested in it. She disliked history the most because she needs to memorize many things. So what is her study method? “I think interest is very important. If you are interested in something, you will learn it very well,” said Sharon.

In addition to studying, her extracurricular life is also rich and colorful. Sharon likes to read books, listen to music and play games during her leisure time.

Furthermore, I learned about her future plans. “My dream job is to be a lawyer, but I think maybe I won’t be a lawyer in the future because it doesn’t fit me very well. Maybe I will do something about business or other things.” Talking about her dream university, she wants to go to the University of California in America because she thinks the University of California is a very famous university and California is very warm and comfortable. Sharon said, “Maybe I will study financial accounting because I think I actually want to study something about business. However, my mother told me that you can learn about business by yourself, but you can’t learn financial accounting by yourself, so I want to study it in university.” Nevertheless, she hasn’t decided yet whether she will stay abroad or return to China. Maybe she will decide after she finishes her courses in the university.

At last, I asked Sharon two interesting questions. “Imagine you won the lottery, what would you do?” “I would keep it and buy a house because the price of a house is really high, you know.” Then I asked her another question, “If you had a chance to change the world, what would you change?” “Maybe I would change racism, especially in the USA, because it is big problem in the USA and I want to change it to make the world more peaceful and fair.”

Sharon is an optimistic and dynamic girl who has a passion for everything. From her, I can really learn a lot.
