“Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle all the way…” Welcome to the LWBC annual Christmas event!

Christmas events are always one of the BC students’ favorites. Secret Santa, teacher and student performances and decorating the classrooms are all exciting parts. We received a video made by the alumni as usual. They introduced their current study life in foreign countries and best wishes. What’s more, they also gave us several suggestions, which were very meaningful and useful.

“Exchanging presents is my favourite part” Nancy in grade 11 said. “I was so happy when I opened my gift last year. I felt that the presents were really carefully selected.” The most attractive point is it’s mystery. Your gift is from a secret Santa, and you don’t know who he or she is. The rule is that you are given a member in our school randomly, and chose a gift for he or she. And you will sign “Secret Santa” instead of your real name. All of the gifts will be packaged beautifully and put under the Christmas tree. At last, you’ll find your own present and open it at the proper time.

The performances always make everyone feel quite excited. There were about 15 performances and interesting activities on the list. The grade 10 band performed Counting Stars for us and got positive feedback. After that, Nancy and I danced to the song Forever Young. Later we listened to a piano and violin solo. Furthermore, we had some standup comedy from Steven, which made us laugh a lot. Surprisingly, Mr. Chang brought a Chinese rap and then teachers and sang a song together for us.  “I think the performances were very wonderful. It gives us a chance to let students show their talent and ability” grade 11 Jane said. “And I suggest that we can make different prizes for those amazing performances.”

“Well, I believe our Christmas gala is pretty awesome with almost everyone’s participation every year and it is kind of our BC tradition. I remembered last year I was the host for the gala; all the performances were well organized and prepared with student’s efforts. We really enjoyed this party for sure,” Sherry from grade 12 said.

“I hope it will be an unforgettable memory and we can have a good time. We are really looking forward to our present from secret Santa!” Grade 10’s Roy said, someone who had not experienced BC’s Christmas yet. Generally, I’m pretty sure it will be as great as your expectation.

“Oh, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells Jingle all the way,”

“Oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse open sleigh.”
