Last week at Luwan, the fine arts class performed their two act play “Snow Murderer.” This play tells the story of a young teenage girl who brings her mother on a school ski trip because she doesn’t get along with her classmates who bully her. The story’s action is revealed through flashback with the protagonist’s mother narrating the story from a police station. In the end, the audience finds out the protagonist is a cold blood girl who cannot handle the bullying. She is the “Snow Murderer.”
The audience’s reaction towards the play was positive. First of all, the story’s plot line is attractive because it involves the murders of teenagers. This twisted plot line is exciting and thrilling. Secondly, the setting is relatable because the school cancelled an organized ski trip two weeks prior to the performance. Finally, the script was very easy to follow because it is written by students. Although the actors were nervous at first, gradually they got involved in the play and made it more believable.
What inspired the fine arts class? Entertaining the student body was their main purpose, but also reminding Luwan students do not isolate your classmates because no one wants to be bullied.
Congratulations to Mr. Milne and his fine arts class for a job well done!
