Wednesday’s at lunch time, there was an Ultimate Frisbee game which attracted over 20 BC students to attend. It’s a new sport for me and many other students. After this competition, I found that the spirit of Ultimate Frisbee is to be united with all of your teammates. Otherwise, it’s impossible to win the game. The rules force the players to share the Frisbee.

Before we started the game, Mr. Berg and Mr. Misquith divided us into two teams. One team had to wear blue jerseys for the players to discriminate who their teammates were. When the game started, all of the students and teachers on the field were excited and we tried to move our bodies as fast as we could. Actually, I thought a quick movement would be beneficial to get the Frisbee and lead to a fast break offense just like when I played basketball. However, I found that I was totally wrong because once a player catches the Frisbee, he is not allowed to move anymore, which also means that he has to pass it to one of his teammates. Luckily, my team won the competition 6-2. Additionally, I assisted Mr. Misquith to score with an accurate pass and it really amused me.

The theme of this game is to make everyone anticipate and notice the importance of sharing with your friends. Without sharing, although you may be very talented in sports, you will be useless in this game. Therefore, I have learned a significant lesson through this competition, “a united team is stronger than an excellent player”.
